Casablanca – Moroccan singer Abd El Fattah Grini has released a new album titled “Grini 2.6,” in collaboration with Rotana.

The new album was released on March 21, featuring a selection of songs ranging from heartbreak and drama to romance.

Composed of 11 tracks, the album includes collaborations with several notable composers, poets, and lyricists, including Mohamed El Bogha, Tamer Hussin, Hamada Farawela, Mohamed Yehia, and Aziz El Shafey.

Among the tracks featured in the album are “Lama Tergaao,” “Akhbar Al Boaad Eh,” Ana Law Kont Habeibk,” “Maftekrsh Haheb Baadoh,” and “Zekryat.”

Across its songs, “Grini 2.6” shifts through varied moods and atmospheres, moving between themes of love, blame, nostalgia, and emotional reflection. Each track presents a distinct tone, contributing to a diverse listening experience.

Beyond this latest release, Abd El Fattah Grini has built a successful career, gaining recognition not only in Morocco but across the Arab world. Known for performing mostly in the Egyptian dialect, the Moroccan artist has steadily expanded his reach and broadened his audience.

One of his notable tracks, “Jabara Fan,” is a Moroccan Arabic adaptation of the theme song of the Indian movie “Fan,” starring Shah Rukh Khan. The song achieved notable success, reaching listeners beyond the Arab world, including in India.

A comment from an Indian listener on the track’s video reads: 

“Love from India… All I got is “hair Jabra , hoir Jabra fan ho gaya, oh tujhe dekhte hi dil mein Dhan Te nan ho gaya” which means “I became your big, crazy fan as soon as I saw you.”

Other popular songs by Grini include “Ya Habibi,” “Ashof Fek Youm,” “Mekhasmny,” Ala Bali,” and “Ahla Ma Fe ElDonia.”

With the release of “Grini 2.6,” Abd El Fattah Grini continues to expand his musical repertoire and reach a wider audience across the region.
