Casablanca – Moroccan singers Zaynab Oussama and Mehdi Fadili are set to share the stage in an upcoming concert titled “L’Casseta,” scheduled for May 30 at Rabat’s Mohammed V Theatre.
The concert will mark the first live collaboration between the two artists. Even the title itself carries meaning, referencing the cassette era that once shaped everyday music listening and became closely tied to memories of an entire generation.
More than just a concert, the event leans into a strong nostalgic atmosphere, bringing back the atmosphere of a time when songs lived through cassette tapes passed between friends, replayed in cars, homes, and neighborhood shops.
And in many ways, Oussama and Fadili’s repertoires fit naturally into that concept, with both artists carrying sounds and melodies that easily connect with audiences emotionally and collectively.
Over the years, Oussama has built a growing audience through songs such as “Kifi Kif Nas,” “Bayen,” and “Lalla Laaroussa.” Her latest release, “Penalty,” came out nearly a year ago and has since surpassed 23 million views.
Fadili has also built a strong presence with tracks including “Mriyech,” “Borj El Mizane,” and “Sarini,” released in August 2025 and reaching more than 15 million views.
The upcoming concert is expected to blend live performance with a nostalgic musical atmosphere, bringing together two artists whose songs already carry a strong connection with shared memories and everyday listening culture.
