Casablanca – Moroccan singer Douaa Lahyaoui’s latest song “Cheraniya” is leading Spotify’s Hot Hits Morocco following its release on July 24.
Since its release, the track has been gaining momentum, surpassing three million views on YouTube and quickly becoming one of the latest Moroccan songs to capture listeners’ attention.
Composed and written by AEO and DIVENCHI, “Cheraniya” has now reached the top of Spotify’s local playlist, adding to the song’s growing momentum.
The song also marks another Spotify appearance for Lahyaoui, with her 2024 hit “Badadi” ranking at No. 45 on the same list.
The 50-track playlist brings together different artists and genres currently making waves among Moroccan listeners.
Following Lahyaoui’s track at No. 1, Benny Adam and Lartiste’s “Gendarmia,” featuring Sofia Marikh, Maestro and Ayoub Anbaoui, takes the second spot.
Stormy and Manal’s “Sata 9ttala” ranks third, followed by Dizzy Dros and Inkonnu’s “Lamara” at No. 4, with Draganov and Hajib’s “Manzakine” rounding out the top five.
From ‘The Voice’ to ‘Cheraniya’
Lahyaoui has built her place in Morocco’s music scene over the past few years, first gaining wider attention through her appearance on “The Voice” before continuing to develop her career as a solo artist.
Among her better-known releases are “Badadi,” “Belbala,” and “Ghdaydi,” all of which have helped establish her growing catalog.
Her popularity has continued to grow alongside her music, with “Badadi” becoming one of her most recognized songs and “Cheraniya” now adding another strong release to her recent run.
With “Cheraniya” now sitting at the top of Hot Hits Morocco, Lahyaoui is continuing to strengthen her presence in the country’s current pop scene, while keeping her signature emotional style at the center of her music.
