Rabat — The sixth edition of Maroc Multiculturel will take place at Communale Saint-Ouen from October 16 to 18, bringing together artisans, designers, artists and cultural performers for a three-day celebration of Moroccan heritage and contemporary creativity.
Held as part of the Saison Méditerranée, the festival will transform Communale’s Grand’Place into a showcase of Moroccan craftsmanship, fashion, beauty and music.
The event will feature a market with 12 stands representing artisans, stylists, artists and creators, offering visitors a glimpse into Morocco’s diverse craft traditions.
From Fez craftsmanship to contemporary Moroccan fashion
The opening day will put fashion and craftsmanship at the forefront, with a haute couture show featuring Fez-based stylists and young Moroccan creators.
The evening will also bring together Moroccan and Brazilian musical influences through performances by the Batucada.
Saturday’s program will explore traditional forms of beauty and cultural expression. Visitors can discover Moroccan-inspired collections through photo and styling activities, alongside beauty and henna stands. A tea ceremony will add another familiar element of Moroccan hospitality to the program.
The day will also feature a workshop exploring the science of Moroccan colors and pigments, led by painter Haiteim Bouiahyoui. Later, Amazigh expressions and popular music will highlight the connections between Morocco, the Mediterranean and other cultures.
The festival will conclude on Sunday with a market and a selection of objects sourced from the medinas of Fez and Azrou, offering visitors another way to encounter Morocco through its material heritage.
Across three days, Maroc Multiculturel presents Moroccan culture through both its established traditions and its evolving creative scene, bringing together craftsmanship, fashion, music and artistic expression in the heart of Saint-Ouen.
