Fez — Rabat is set to host two days of Korean culture, entertainment, and products as the Korean Embassy in Morocco brings the 19th “Korea-Arab Friendship Caravan” to the capital.
The event, organized with the Korea-Arab Society (KAS), will take place on October 6 and 7 at the Mohammed V National Theatre.
The program combines K-pop-inspired dance, breaking, traditional Korean activities, and an exhibition spanning food, beauty, technology, mobility, literature, and lifestyle products.
The Mohammed V National Theatre’s October program also lists the “K-Pop & B-Boy Performances” for October 6 and the Korean showcase for October 7.
K-pop and breaking take the stage
The cultural performance will begin on October 6 at 8 p.m., featuring all-female dance crew K-NOVA and veteran breaking group Expression Crew.
K-NOVA, formed in 2024, has competed in Korea and abroad. The group finished second at the 2025 “World of Dance” competition in Los Angeles and will present a performance blending K-pop music with choreography.
Expression Crew brings a longer history to the Rabat stage. Founded in 1992, the group became the first Asian team to win the international “Battle of the Year” breaking competition.
In Rabat, the crew will perform “Marionette,” a non-verbal production combining B-boy movement with puppet-theater techniques.
The performance uses music, choreography, and theatrical staging rather than dialogue to tell its story.
Before the main show, visitors will also be able to discover the hanbok, Korea’s traditional clothing, and try traditional Korean games.
From K-Beauty to Korean mobility
The second major part of the program is a Korean product exhibition showcasing several sides of contemporary Korean life and industry.
The exhibition is divided into themed sections including “K-Food,” “K-Beauty,” “K-Lifestyle,” “K-Innovation,” “K-Heritage,” and “K-Literature.”
Food displays will introduce Korean sauces, condiments, noodles, snacks, and dining culture, while the lifestyle section will focus on environmentally friendly goods, functional products, character merchandise, and design.
Beauty brands Ipeul, Seoul Glam, and JKOSMEC are also set to showcase their cosmetics and skincare products.
Major Korean companies will have a presence as well, including Samsung, Hyundai Rotem, KORAIL, Hyundai Motor, Kia, and KGM.
Hyundai Motor, Kia, and KGM will display vehicles outside the theater, giving visitors a closer look at Korean automotive brands.
The exhibition will initially be open to guests attending a reception marking the Republic of Korea’s National Day on October 6.
It will then open to the general public on October 7 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
A long-running Korea-Arab exchange
The Korea-Arab Society describes the Friendship Caravan as one of its longstanding cultural exchange initiatives connecting Korea with Arab countries.
The program began in 2008 and has since brought Korean performing arts to audiences across the Arab world.
KAS records show successive editions of the caravan have continued to promote cultural exchange between Korea and the Arab region.
The organization works across cultural, economic, academic, and people-to-people exchanges, with participation from governments and businesses in Korea and the Arab world.
For Rabat audiences, the October program offers more than a concert or trade display.
It brings together Korean pop culture, traditional heritage, consumer products, and industrial technology in a single event, reflecting the growing cultural and economic links between Morocco and Korea.
