Casablanca – Moroccan rapper Najm has opened a new chapter in his career with the release of “THUGCLUB” and “9OWA,” his first tracks under Def Jam Morocco.
The two releases mark the beginning of his collaboration with the label, adding another step to a career that has steadily carved out its own place in Morocco’s rap scene.
Rather than simply following the sounds and trends shaping Moroccan rap, Najm has developed an identity that listeners can recognize.
His delivery, sound, and approach to music give his releases a distinct character, helping him stand out among a new generation of Moroccan rappers.
Taking his music beyond Morocco
His growing presence is also taking him beyond Morocco. After performing in France, Najm is preparing to join ElGrandeToto on his upcoming European tour, which includes stops in Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Belgium.
The tour offers another opportunity for the rapper to introduce his music to audiences across Europe while staying connected to the scene that shaped him.
Joining Def Jam Morocco’s roster
With this new chapter, Najm also joins a Def Jam Morocco roster that includes Issam, SHR, and Aujiss. Each artist brings a different sound and artistic direction to the label, reflecting the range of voices currently shaping Moroccan rap. Najm’s arrival adds another distinctive presence to that lineup.
Najm’s association with Def Jam Morocco follows a series of releases and collaborations that have helped establish his name in the Moroccan rap scene.
His work includes tracks such as “NDAM!” (2024), followed by projects like “SAV!OR” and “U.” He also joined forces with Manal on “RIRI&ROCKY,” a collaboration that has attracted nearly six million views on YouTube.
In February 2025, Najm became the first Moroccan artist selected for Spotify’s RADAR program, further expanding his visibility beyond the local scene.
For now, “THUGCLUB” and “9OWA” offer the first taste of what his new collaboration with Def Jam Morocco has in store. And with a European tour on the horizon, Najm’s next chapter is already looking beyond the borders of the local scene.
