Marrakech – Morocco is emerging as the new favorite getaway for travelers from the south-west of France, with Casablanca at its heart, according to a feature by the French outlet Passion Aquitaine.

“At only three hours by plane from Bordeaux, it enchants visitors with its light, endless beaches, and remarkable sense of hospitality. A place where one rediscovers the taste of authentic travel — without the jet lag,” the outlet writes.

“Casablanca is not only Morocco’s economic capital; it’s a fascinating city where modernity and heritage intertwine,” the article’s author  highlighted.

Between its Art Deco boulevards, historic cafes, and lively beaches, “it embodies the cosmopolitan face of the Kingdom,” according to the outlet.

Passion Aquitaine also highlights Casablanca’s wide range of activities — from gastronomy and golf to wellness and family leisure.

“It’s hard to get bored, no matter your age,” the media outlet noted, mentioning swimming pools, quad rides, and educational farms sure to delight both children and adults.

The article lists several must-sees that “are worth the detour,” including the Hassan II Mosque, “a masterpiece of architecture and a spiritual symbol overlooking the ocean.” It also suggests the Habous district — “a perfect blend of tradition and modern urbanism,” and Boulevard Mohammed V, described as “a witness to the Art Deco golden age.”

Casablanca also attracts visitors with its diverse shopping scene, while the Aïn Diab Corniche stands out as “the ideal spot to sip mint tea at sunset.”

“Less than three hours from Bordeaux, this little corner of paradise ticks all the boxes of a dream trip, sun, culture, ocean, and comfort. The ideal destination to recharge without going far,” the feature concluded.
