Fez — Olympique de Marseille and PUMA have unveiled a new jersey capsule built around Marseille’s African roots, with designs inspired by seven national teams: Morocco, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Algeria, Tunisia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Comoros.
The collection is presented under the campaign name “Marseille c’est nous” (“Marseille Is Us”), framing the shirts as a tribute to the communities that shape the city’s everyday culture and its matchday stands.
Seven national teams, one Marseille identity
The visuals show a patchwork-style jersey concept that blends club identity with national colors and references. One featured design includes Arabic text reading “Hna Marsilia” (“We are Marseille”), turning the shirt into a statement of belonging as much as a sports item.
A diaspora message timed with AFCON
The drop is being shared online in the context of AFCON 2025, leaning into the tournament’s emotional pull for diaspora fans who often support both their countries of origin and the clubs of the cities they live in.
Why Morocco stands out in the story
Morocco is not treated as an add-on in the visuals, but as a core reference among the seven teams — reflecting the size and visibility of Moroccan communities in Marseille and the broader Maghreb imprint on the city.
For Moroccan fans, the capsule effectively turns a European club’s lifestyle drop into a diaspora mirror: a reminder that football identity is not only about where you live now, but also where your story began.
