Rabat – Ramadan is a special and meaningful month in Morocco. Fast, shorter sleep, and late-night prayers may affect energy levels, especially the first week.

With few small habits, it is possible to stay focused, calm, and productive throughout the month.

Adjusting your sleep schedule

During Ramadan, sleep often becomes lighter and shorter. Instead of trying to keep your usual schedule, adjust it. This will help your mind stay clear during the day.

Go to bed as early as possible. A short nap when you are free also benefits your energy, even for 20-30 minutes.

Keep your body moving

Moderate exercise can actually increase energy. A short walk or gentle stretching can promote blood circulation and reduce exhaustion.

Choosing easy and mindful activities

Ramadan is a time for reflection, making it the perfect period to engage in spiritual nourishment and arrive at deeper insight.

Reading, journaling, or listening to podcasts are good ways to stay mentally engaged without draining yourself.

Self-help books, short literature, poetry, or thoughtful essays can feel more suitable than heavy or stressful content.

Arranging less work in afternoon

The hours before iftar can feel long. Reducing pressure during this period helps avoid frustration and mental weariness.

Instead of pushing through difficult work, allow yourself to slow down and work less. Prepare for iftar, set the table, or spend quiet time with family at a relaxed pace.

Fuel your body wisely

What you eat and drink also affects your energy the next day. Remember to choose balanced meals with protein, vegetables, and slow-digesting carbohydrates.

Ramadan tables often include sweet and traditional meals. You can indulge but keep the balance through lighter options such as soup, vegetables, and protein.

Don’t forget to drink enough water between iftar and suhoor to avoid dehydration.
