Rabat – According to ET Arabic, Saad Lamjarred’s legal team, led by lawyers Zoé Royaux and Laurent Simeray, has obtained information that could directly impact the course of his trial, as critical court sessions approach in France.

The Paris Criminal Court is set to examine charges of attempted extortion and the formation of a criminal conspiracy against Lamjarred in public hearings scheduled from March 24-26.

According to the defense team, investigations revealed that Lamjarred was allegedly asked to pay €3 million in exchange for the alleged victim dropping earlier rape allegations during prior proceedings.

Lamjarred continues to assert his innocence, describing himself as the victim of a serious extortion attempt.

An appeal of the verdict is expected in September 2026, but this latest development could complicate the trial and influence its outcome.

According to available information, the alleged victim is now facing charges in an extortion case targeting Lamjarred, a move that could mark a turning point in the proceedings.

Despite her denial of these allegations, these developments raise significant questions about the broader context of the case.
