Lugano — Fez will host the Musical Generations & Cultures Festival from May 21-24, featuring performances, workshops, and intercultural exchange.

The four-day event will follow a structured program that combines artistic performances with educational and interactive activities across multiple venues in the city.

On the opening day, the festival will begin with an inaugural roundtable on training the next generation of artists, followed by public musical workshops in the morning.

In the afternoon, Les Étoiles Cultural Center will host open rehearsals and a piano audition, while Jnan Sbil will offer children’s drawing workshops, artistic recycling sessions, and an outdoor exhibition with a vernissage. 

The day will conclude at the Grande Salle de la Province with the official opening of the festival.

On May 22, the program shifts toward digital and contemporary themes with a thematic roundtable on digital culture and social responsibility, addressing media, artificial intelligence, and cultural creation. 

The morning will also include participatory workshops on responsible content creation, critical thinking, and new artistic forms.

In the afternoon, Les Étoiles Cultural Center will host a musical theatre performance, auditions, and public orchestra and choir rehearsals, while Jnan Sbil continues with art workshops and exhibitions. 

The evening is set to feature a concert by the Andalusian Orchestra of the Fez Conservatory, accompanied by traditional singing performances by students, celebrating Moroccan musical heritage.

On May 23, the program will explore the link between music and well-being, starting with a conference on music in psychotherapy and a roundtable on music, emotions, and resilience. 

Afternoon activities will include musical theatre, classical dance, and open rehearsals, followed by an evening classical music concert featuring young pianists and vocalists.

The festival will conclude on May 24 with a focus on youth and transmission, including a debate on supporting young creators and the exhibition Young Talents in Vogue,” held in the morning.

The closing evening will feature a concert by the Moroccan Modern Orchestra, a collaborative orchestral and choral performance, followed by the official closing ceremony.
