Fez — “Tiqqa d’Or 2026” will launch in Rabat on April 28 as a new ceremony dedicated to honoring Moroccan seniors whose work has shaped public, cultural, social, and professional life across the country.
The event will be held at Théâtre Mohammed V and is built around the idea of celebrating experience, transmission, and the people whose life paths have left a lasting mark on Morocco.
Mohamed El Jem stands is one of the most recognizable names attached to this first edition. His tribute places one of Morocco’s most familiar theater and television figures at the center of a ceremony designed to celebrate memory, legacy, and national gratitude. His long artistic career has made him part of the cultural vocabulary of several generations, which gives his presence particular symbolic weight.
The evening is set to extend beyond formal honors. Its program includes music and live performance, with names such as Abdelouahab Doukkali, Nabila Maan, Hatim Ammor, and Bassou attached to the event. That lineup gives the ceremony a broader cultural dimension while keeping its focus on tribute rather than competition.
The heart of Tiqqa d’Or’s is its attempt to turn recognition into something larger than applause. By placing figures like Mohamed El Jem at the heart of its debut edition, the ceremony is not only honoring careers, but also affirming the value of experience in a society that still sees memory, respect, and transmission as central to public life.
