Rabat – British designer Duke+Dexter wanted to “find our nirvana” as a recent trip to Morocco inspired their new fashion collection “Club Morocco.” In a recent press release the London-based upscale footwear brand wanted to “get lost mentally,” and “forget about London” as they visited Morocco in search of inspiration.
Photography accompanying the press release shows their new collection framed by typical Moroccan surroundings including a traditional riad with its many Moroccan design quirks as well as the dizzying array of Moroccan patterns and designs that can be seen across the country.
The brand described its collection as “an opportunity to tell stories of tiled mosaic, rug markets and highly -skilled wooden craftsmanship lost in the Agafay Desert’s wake.” The high-end shoe brand, founded in 2015 by Archie Hewlett, saw the places they visited in Morocco as “a natural birthplace for our collection of updated classics, rife with complimentary palettes and textures throughout.”
Duke+Dexter took inspiration from Morocco’s “natural beauty and points of unspoilt bliss,” for its Club Morocco collection. The collection features the brand’s famous handmade loafers displaying typical Moroccan color schemes and patterns, with prices ranging from MAD 2,469 sneakers to limited edition loafers costing MAD 3,165.
Duke+Dexter is a footwear brand operating from London, offering handmade luxury footwear. The brand has worked with artists and celebrities including David Beckham, Snoop Dogg, Jonah Hill, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and DJ Khaled, and sells its wares online as well as at upscale British retailers such as Harrods and Selfridges.
The Club Morocco collection is available internationally through the brand’s online shop.
