Rabat – The head coach of Spain’s giant football club Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone, is wandering Morocco on a family trip to Marrakech.
Atletico Madrid’s French-speaking Twitter page shared a photo of Simeone and his wife Carla Peryera, a model and TV show host.
“Diego Simeone is enjoying his trip to the most beautiful country in Africa, Morocco,” Atleti Francia said.
Pereyra also shared a set of photos of her family’s trip in the city of Marrakech.
In a series of photos with her two daughters and Simeone, Pereyra announced that she and her family went on a field trip.
“Magical and unforgettable afternoon,” Pereyra wrote in her photo caption.
The Series of pictures also showed the family enjoying a camel ride and sunny weather in golden sand in the Agafay desert in Marrakech.
In another post, Pereyra also posted a picture of her and Simeone in the La Mamounia hotel.
Marrakech, one of Morocco’s major and popular cities, is known for attracting celebrities.
Many public figures, including football stars, singers, actors, and actresses take frequent trips to Marrakech to celebrate different occasions — including their birthdays, new years eve, or Christmas holidays.
In 2018, Madonna traveled to Morocco to celebrate her 60th birthday in Marrakech.
After her visit, the queen of pop shared multiple videos and pictures, thanking “magical Morocco” for hosting her.
In 2021, American actress Susan Sarandon expressed her love for Morocco’s Marrakech and other cities she visited.
“Morocco is quite amazing, it’s a very different culture and it’s a really easy trip from New York. I mean it is the same as going to California,” she said.
Earlier this year, Travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller featured Morocco’s Marrakech among its 24 best holiday destinations in April.
“Our tip: wait till spring, the best time to visit Morocco, when it starts to warm up a bit and you can at least hope to waft around your pool in a floaty kaftan, rather than hunkering down with a book, wearing 12 cardigans and scratchy djellaba,” the magazine wrote.
