Rabat – Morocco is participating in Expo Dubai 2020, spanning from October 1 2021 to 31 March 2022, to share its strategic vision for a more sustainable global future.
The theme of Morocco’s Pavillion, “Legacies for the future – from inspiring origins to sustainable progress,” highlights the Moroccan culture, heritage, and national identity and invites visitors to discover the nation, its history and talents, and its accomplishments in various sectors.
With the aim of providing visitors with a unique experience, the permanent exhibition of Morocco in its Pavilion features 13 rooms, designed in a promenade-like fashion.
The rooms serve as an opportunity for the visitor to explore a ‘new,’ different aspect of Morocco: Meet your Eldest room, Moroccan Explorers, Movement, Visit Morocco, Connections & Development rooms, Reveal Africa, Moroccan Artists, Bubble of Life, Argan Stories, Plants Power, Release the Energies rooms.
Through these rooms, visitors will explore Morocco’s commitment to the future of the planet, immersing them in a strong experience, sometimes interactive but also playful, involving the body and not just the mind, so as to reach all audiences.
To entertain and engage the young visitors, the Morocco Pavilion offers an innovative game experience, in augmented reality, which invites them to search for a number of clues and solve new puzzles.
Land of investment and innovation
Also presenting itself as a leading country in global renewal, Morocco will deploy a program of scientific and economic events around the main themes selected by Expo 2020 Dubai inside its Pavilion.
Climate change, sustainable development, logistics, infrastructure, industrial acceleration, agricultural strategy, tourism, finance and African cooperation will be the themes discussed during conferences, workshops and professional meetings, in the presence of main actors of the Moroccan economy (experts, institutions, public and private companies).
From October 10 to 16, there will be a series of scientific and business events to highlight the “modern and connected Morocco,” and enhance investment opportunities for the Kingdom, which will facilitate the economic and human development of future generations.
A delegation of private and public Moroccan operators and dynamic panels will be held to cover all economic sectors and their evolution, in order to reflect the economic sphere of the country and to contribute to global efforts and collaboration for post-Covid economic recovery.
Morocco’s art, culture, and history honored
By combining the traditional and modern elements of Morocco in a single event, Expo 2020 will give the world a chance to see the potential of Morocco as an innovation and tourism destination.
The Morocco Pavilion will offer an artistic and cultural program of great diversity. This program aims to reflect the cultural and economic dynamics of Morocco, and the diversity of its heritage.
December 26, is when Morocco will be honored at Expo 2020 Dubai. Under the name of “National Day”, the event will reflect the pluralistic image and diversity of the Kingdom. The exhibition will show the intergenerational and intercultural aspects of Moroccan culture.
The cultural and artistic program will be held in several forms: food & night music, cooking show, musical performances by 12 Folklore groups from 12 regions of the Kingdom, kids master class and workshops, exhibitions, film projections, etc.
With over 190 countries represented, Expo 2020 Dubai will undoubtedly mark a new era in history as the world’s nations gather together to think about the “world of tomorrow” and the future of sustainability for future generations.
