A new queen has emerged, Thailand’s Opal Chuanḡsri is Miss World 2025
Fez – Thailand has a new reason to celebrate. On Saturday, Opal Suchata Chuan̄gsri was crowned Miss World 2025, beating out 106 other contestants in the international beauty pageant held in Hyderabad, India.
Chuan̄gsri, who radiated elegance and confidence throughout the competition, emerged as the winner at the end of a glamorous evening that drew global attention.
She received her crown from last year’s titleholder, Kristina Pishkova, continuing a tradition that has launched many women into global stardom.
Representing Thailand, Chuan̄gsri stood out not just for her poise, but also for her presence: calm, articulate, and visibly passionate about her platform.
While beauty remains a cornerstone of the pageant, this year’s event, like many before it, placed strong emphasis on intelligence, advocacy, and purpose-driven goals. Clearly, Opal ticked every box.
The first runner-up title went to Ethiopia’s Haset Dereje Admasu, another standout competitor who impressed the judges with her grace and vision.
The competition, featuring 107 contestants from around the world, was tight, but these two finalists captured both hearts and headlines.
This year’s venue, Hyderabad in southern India, offered a vibrant backdrop for the Miss World festivities.
With its mix of tradition and modernity, the city provided an ideal stage for a global event rooted in both glamour and culture.
And of course, India holds a special place in Miss World history. It has produced six titleholders, including two of the most iconic names in the pageant’s legacy: Aishwarya Rai (1994) and Priyanka Chopra (2000).
Both went on to build high-profile careers in international cinema, proof that a Miss World win can be much more than a crown and sash.
For Chuan̄gsri, the journey is just beginning. With the title comes a year of travel, humanitarian work, and high expectations.
But if her performance on stage is anything to go by, she’s more than ready to embrace the role and everything it stands for.
The Miss World pageant continues to evolve, and it’s still a platform that changes lives and redefines what global beauty, purpose, and ambition look like today.
And in 2025, that image looks a lot like Opal Chuan̄gsri. Let’s see what she does next.
