Rabat – National Geographic has again featured Morocco’s Taghazout tourism assets, particularly for adventure enthusiasts.
This time, the magazine lists the Moroccan town among the “best adventure destinations in the world” to visit in 2022.
The magazine used descriptive terms to make its readers imagine what to expect while visiting Taghazout, a fishing town on Morocco’s Atlantic coast located north of the city of Agadir.
“With its waves, dunes, ramps and a traditional souk, keeping children and their parents away from the screens will not be difficult in Taghazout, the Moroccan capital for surfing,” the magazine’s Spanish version wrote.
National Geographic added that the destination is European backpackers’ and surfers’ favorite choice.
“Surfing season is between October and April, when the consistent northwest swell creates quality waves (sandy bottoms, waves that crash on the rocks and those that hit at an oblique angle) as in Panorama, a sheltered family beach ideal for beginners,” the magazine added.
The magazine also advises travelers to take a day trip to Agadir and discover charming areas around the region.
It has been just a few weeks since the same magazine featured Taghazout among 35 “Incredible” Places to visit in 2022 and beyond.
In addition to tourism and surfing, Taghazout is also known for fishing and its production of Argan oil.
