Marrakech – Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros are gearing up for the highly anticipated release of “Dune: Part Two” this weekend.

As excitement builds among fans, all eyes are on whether this sci-fi sequel can inject some much-needed energy into the 2024 box office, which has yet to hit the billion-dollar mark this year.

Though domestic ticket sales have lagged behind by 18% compared to the same period last year, Denis Villeneuve’s cinematic masterwork is expected to be the industry’s game-changer.

Projections suggest that the movie could make a splash with a global debut of $170 million.

An estimated $85–90 million will come from foreign markets, with an additional $80 million coming from the US and Canada combined.

With such promising forecasts, industry experts are excited about the film’s ability to dominate theaters globally.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve and co-written with Jon Spaihts, it is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic novel.

Featuring an ensemble cast including Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, and Javier Bardem, the sequel promises audiences another thrilling journey into the mesmerizing world of Herbert’s imagination.
