Rabat – UK-based airline and airport review site Skytrax has revealed its ranking for the World’s Best Airports, which placed two Moroccan airports among the top 10 in Africa.

This includes Casablanca’s Mohammed V airport in fourth spot and Marrakech Menara airport in the sixth place.

The ranking, which Skytrax announced at the 25th World Airport Awards in Frankfurt, Germany, highlighted airports that provide world-class aviation infrastructure and services.

Among the top-ranking African airports, South Africa stood out with three of its airports in the continent’s top 3.

Leading the pack is Cape Town International Airport, followed closely by Durban King Shaka Airport and Johannesburg O. R. Tambo International Airport.

Mauritius Airport claimed the fifth spot, while Addis Ababa ranked seventh. The ranking featured Kigali airport in the eighth spot, followed by Cairo and Nairobi respectively.

Meanwhile, the World Top 10 Airports 2024 featured a diverse selection of international hubs renowned for their outstanding service and infrastructure.

Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, sits at the top of the list, followed closely by Singapore Changi Airport and Incheon International Airport in Seoul.

Rounding out the top 10 are Tokyo Haneda International Airport, Tokyo Narita Airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, Dubai International Airport, Munich Airport, Zurich Airport, and Istanbul Airport.

The ranking is based on the results of the World Airport Survey, which collects feedback from passengers worldwide.

The survey evaluates various aspects of the passenger experience, including customer service, facilities, efficiency, cleanliness, and overall satisfaction, according to Skytrax.

It covers all stages of the airport journey, from check-in to boarding, and encompasses factors such as ease of navigation, security procedures, dining options, shopping amenities, and cleanliness of facilities.
