The now-deleted video followed Trump’s promise of the largest deportation in US history.

Marrakech – Selena Gomez has deleted an emotional Instagram video addressing Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown after facing criticism online.

The 32-year-old Mexican pop sensation and actress, broke down in tears, saying: “I just want to say that I’m so sorry. All my people are getting attacked.”

“The children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.”

Since Trump took office, racist rhetoric against Hispanic communities has been flooding US social media channels, with jargon like “illegal aliens” which is being utilized in the new administration’s policies.

Moreover, White House images have been circulating online showing shackled men being loaded onto a military plane.

One of her critics, Republican US Senate candidate Sam Parker, said on X that she should “be deported.”

Gomez responded on her Instagram story, saying, “Oh Mr Parker, Mr Parker. Thanks for the laugh and the threat.”
