Marrakech – Marrakech’s creative pulse felt stronger than ever on Friday night, as IZZA officially opened its latest exhibition, “Everything Out of Nothing. But the Nothingness Shows Through.”

The show brings together new works by two rising Moroccan artists, Cherifa Mourabiti and Loutfi Souidi, whose pieces unfold like a dialogue between nature, memory, and transformation.

Souidi’s raw, metallic sculptures — built from discarded materials — stole more than just the spotlight.

They even caught the eye of the music world: one of his paintings was recently chosen as the cover art for Small X’s newest release.

The rapper himself made an appearance at the opening, blending effortlessly into the crowd and soaking in the energy of a night where visual art and music shared the same breath.

Cherifa Mourabiti, meanwhile, offered a quieter but no less powerful conversation through her intricate textiles and ink works, bridging her Moroccan roots with a deep fascination for Japanese minimalism.

Each piece, whether stitched or painted, felt like a soft meditation on resilience, impermanence, and the invisible threads that connect us all.

As part of IZZA’s year-long residency program supporting Moroccan talent, the exhibition feels like a promise: that art, even when born out of nothingness, can still move us, connect us, and maybe even change the way we see the world.
