Lady Gaga is heading to Nevermore Academy, and things are about to get delightfully weird.
Fez– The queen of reinvention is heading to Nevermore. Yes, you read that right, Lady Gaga is officially joining the cast of Wednesday on Netflix.
The global pop icon, who’s just as comfortable in a meat dress as she is on the Oscar stage, will be playing Rosaline Rotwood, a mysterious teacher at Nevermore Academy in season two, part two of the mega-hit series.
The big reveal dropped during Netflix’s Tudum 2025 event, where fans got a six-minute sneak peek of the upcoming season.
Naturally, Gaga made a scene, taking the stage to perform “Zombieboy” and “Abracadabra” before posting a cheeky backstage selfie with Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams herself) captioned “#DEAD, love u lady.”
Now let’s pause for a second and consider how perfect this casting is. A dark, magical school for misunderstood monsters?
Gaga’s basically been preparing for this role her entire life. And Rosaline Rotwood? Sounds like someone who’d teach potions by day and headline a shadowy cabaret by night.
Jenna Ortega returns as the deadpan, murderously chic Wednesday Addams, still navigating high school drama, secret societies, and the general weirdness that is Nevermore.
Season one made Ortega a household name, earned her Emmy and Golden Globe nods, and officially turned Wednesday into Netflix’s most-watched series, beating out giants like Stranger Things.
And Gaga’s not the only star joining the spooky circus. Billie Piper has been cast as Isadora Capri, Nevermore’s new head of music (cue the eerie harmonies), and Catherine Zeta-Jones is back in full Morticia mode, gliding down gothic corridors like she owns them.
As for Gaga, she’s been on a cinematic hot streak. After her award-winning performance in “A Star Is Born” and her dramatic turn as Patrizia Reggiani in “House of Gucci”, she’s recently starred alongside Joaquin Phoenix in “Joker: Folie à Deux”, playing Harley Quinn, sorry, “Lee Quinzel.” So adding “paranormal educator” to her resume feels just right.
Let’s not forget where it all began. The Addams Family started as a 1930s cartoon by Charles Addams and has since had many lives, from the beloved ’60s TV series to the iconic ’90s films (hello, Christina Ricci, who now plays a teacher in the show).
Part one of Wednesday season two drops on August 6, and part two, aka Gaga’s debut, is coming September 3.
Nevermore just got a whole lot more glamorous.
