Jacquemus returned to his roots with “Le Paysan,” which blended rustic nostalgia with high fashion elegance.

Rabat – On June 29, Simon Porte Jacquemus unveiled his latest collection, “Le Paysan,” during Men’s Fashion Week, in a show that merged personal storytelling with high fashion.

Set against the majestic backdrop of the Palace of Versailles, the runway presentation drew a global crowd of A-list attendees.

By choosing Versailles and evoking the rustic beauty of the countryside, Jacquemus invited his audience on a personal journey, one that paid homage to his rural roots.

The collection was deeply inspired by his Provençal childhood, serving as a reminder that even in today’s lavish and flashy fashion world, authenticity and personal heritage can still be integrated into the luxurious fashion industry.

Among the notable guests were model Camila Alves McConaughey and her husband, actor Matthew McConaughey, designer Amina Muaddi, actor Pierre Niney, singer Aya Nakamura, actress Emma Roberts, and many other prominent creatives.

Their presence added extra star power to an already dazzling crowd, reinforcing Jacquemus’s position as a major force in global fashion.

Simon Porte Jacquemus reminds us that he is still the same country boy who entered the industry; he hasn’t forgotten his roots.

His statement is inspiring for artists who come from backgrounds far removed from where they eventually find themselves, reminding us that through creativity and authenticity, your roots are a strength to embrace, not a weakness to hide or suppress.

His designs carried strong emotional baggage, unfolding almost like an autobiographical narrative.

The heartfelt nature of the collection was evident in the designer’s reaction at the show’s closing, as he appeared visibly moved while taking his final bow, an intimate moment that showcased the sincerity behind Le Paysan” – the peasant.
