Marrakech – Tanger lit up this weekend as the Festival des Plages Maroc Telecom launched its summer tour with two high-energy nights that pulled in crowds and set the tone for a vibrant season ahead.
Saturday’s headliner, rapper L7OR, opened with a fire-fueled performance that had the audience rapping along line for line.
On Sunday, it was Ibtissam Tiskat’s turn to steal the show, and the cheers. The pop icon delivered a charged set to a sea of fans, proving once again why she remains one of the most anticipated acts on the lineup.
Staying true to the festival’s DNA, each city begins with a local opening act — a nod to Morocco’s rich, city-rooted talent and a way to spotlight emerging voices in front of massive audiences.
The turnout in Tanger was anything but modest. Thousands showed up, danced, filmed, and filled the coastline with applause, underscoring the magnetic pull of this now-iconic summer festival.
And this is only the beginning.
Running through August 21, the Festival des Plages Maroc Telecom will bring free nightly concerts to Morocco’s beach cities, featuring top national stars in a festive, family-friendly setting.
Up next: Fnaïre, Lbenj, Muslim, Lemchaheb, Ikram Abdiya, and yes, a few surprises that aren’t on the posters yet.
