Beyond the stage time and applause, Tremplin offers something far more valuable for young artists trying to break through.
Fez – This September, Casablanca’s iconic music stage returns to amplify the voices of young Moroccan artists.
The beloved Casablanca festival promises 15 rising acts from across Morocco, dominated once again by rap and hip-hop.
Casablanca’s flagship competition for young music talent, Tremplin L’Boulevard has officially revealed its lineup for this year – and rap is still king.
Running from September 18 to 21 at the RUC Stadium, the event will welcome 15 up-and-coming groups from all over the country, with hip-hop artists once again leading the charge.
This emphasis on rap is not exactly a shock. Morocco’s rap scene has been gaining serious momentum over the past decade, and this year’s application numbers speak for themselves: out of 340 submissions, a staggering 309 came from the rap and hip-hop category.
Fusion and other contemporary genres drew just 21 entries, while rock and metal accounted for 10.
Still, the diversity of origin remains one of the festival’s strong points. The selected groups hail from nearly every corner of Morocco: Agadir, Oujda, Fez, Casablanca, Nador, Smara, Rabat, Tinghir, Taroudant, and beyond.
It’s a wide net, and it catches exactly what Tremplin is meant to capture: the raw pulse of a new generation making noise on their own terms.
The competition will unfold over three nights, with each genre taking the spotlight.
The rap and hip-hop showcase opens the festival on September 18, followed by fusion on the 19th, and rock/metal on the 20th.
On the final day, September 21, prizes will be awarded and winners announced.
Beyond the stage time and applause, Tremplin offers something far more valuable for young artists trying to break through.
The top three winners will receive cash prizes: 10,000 MAD for first place, 5,000 MAD for second, alongside a week-long professional training program and a recording session at Studio Hiba, the festival’s longtime partner.
