Rabat- Taylor Swift is not nominated for the 2026 Grammys for the first time in what is almost a decade. Swift has not come with an album or a single in the Grammys’ eligible period that is from Aug.31, 2024 to Aug.30, 2025.

Her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” and its title song “The Fate of Ophelia,” came out on October 3, leaving the album out of the 2026 Grammys Nominations.

Known for her skillful storytelling lyricism, Taylor Swift has always had something to say since she was very young.

“She always was writing, always” says Barbara Kolvek, elementary school teacher of Taylor Swift.

Swift’s storytelling is one of the main reasons why her fans are invested in her lyrics and music videos where she smoothly leaves easter eggs that give her fans clues about her dating life, hints for future albums, and references past albums.

Taylor Swift’s creative lyricism has earned her nominations at the Grammys for different categories since 2007, which is why her being left out of the 2026 Grammys nomination list came as a surprise, although it was expected. Swift has won an award at the 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Although she was nominated for her “The Tortured Poets Department” at the 2025 Grammys, Swift has not won any award.

After her streak of 3 years, many of her fans were disappointed and accused the Grammys of hindering the singer’s winning streak.

Many of her fans speculated that she might have delayed the release of the album to send a message to the Recording Academy.

In her latest appearance at the Graham Norton Show, Taylor Swift stated that she would shift her focus towards planning her wedding with NFL star Travis Kelce, after having been done with her recent album “The Life Of a Showgirl.”
