Marrakech – MOGA Festival has been honored with the title of “Best International Event (under 15,000 attendees)” at the prestigious Heavent Paris Awards 2025, a leading European event industry showcase.

Born in Essaouira in 2016 and expanding to Costa da Caparica, Portugal in 2021, MOGA has built a name for itself as a boutique festival blending electronic music with local culture and lifestyle.

This award underscores the success of a concept that has evolved from a coastal gathering to an internationally recognized cultural event.

According to the festival’s organizers, the award not only acknowledges the artistic and logistical excellence of the festival but also celebrates a larger vision: that of a modern, creative Morocco, using innovative and sustainable cultural experiences to promote tourism and global engagement.

“Receiving the Best International Festival award at the Heavent Paris Awards is a recognition of what MOGA truly is: a community, an energy, a way of connecting beyond the dancefloor,” said Matthieu Corosine, co-founder of the festival.

“MOGA today is far more than just an event, it’s a shared spirit that unites people through music, creativity, and openness.”

This distinction also highlights the support from institutional and private partners that have played a key role in MOGA’s growth, including the City of Essaouira, Almada Municipal Council, the Moroccan National Tourist Office, and various local and international brands.

Looking ahead, Corosine suggested, MOGA plans to further expand its concept to new destinations in 2026, while staying true to the DNA that has defined it: a fusion of music, culture, travel, and community.
