Marrakech — Internationally touring concert pianist Mahmoud El Moussaoui delivered a critically praised piano recital in Rabat, reaffirming his artistic connection to a city that shaped his early journey.

The performance drew a highly attentive audience, whose focused silence created a refined and immersive atmosphere throughout the evening, an element El Moussaoui highlighted as central to the concert’s success.

Speaking after the recital, the pianist reflected on his return to Rabat, where he spent five years pursuing his studies at Institut agronomique et vétérinaire Hassan II.

He described the city as formative to his personal and artistic development, and praised the audience for its musical sensitivity and deep respect for the performance.

“I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Rabat audience,” El Moussaoui said.

“Their attentiveness and silence were truly moving. Sharing my art with such an audience is both inspiring and rewarding.”

The recital marked more than a performance, it was a homecoming.

El Moussaoui expressed hope that this concert would be the beginning of renewed artistic exchanges with Rabat, signaling a desire to return and continue engaging with its growing cultural scene.
