Rabat – Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi has launched Inanna Reborn, a label built on the premise that fashion can do more than dress a body, it can recover lost histories.

The brand draws on women’s narratives from the past and pulls them into the present, not as nostalgia but as reclamation.

It made its debut at Najd Al Maqsar in Khor Fakkan, where the mountains drop straight into the sea, the kind of setting that doesn’t need explaining.

The setting reflects the project’s core duality, balancing heritage and modernity, while anchoring the brand in a site rich with historical and cultural symbolism.

Inanna Reborn moves beyond conventional fashion design, positioning clothing as a medium for expressing identity and memory rather than purely aesthetic value.

This vision is informed by historical and cultural research focused on prominent Arab women, whose legacies are reinterpreted into designs that symbolize strength, sovereignty, and presence.

The label embraces what can be described as “mythic luxury,” transforming garments into vessels for revisiting and reimagining history.

Inspirations are drawn from iconic female figures such as Zenobia and Queen of Sheba, translated into pieces that merge fluidity with structure, softness with power.

Rather than presenting seasonal collections, Inanna Reborn offers standalone pieces imbued with symbolic meaning. Each garment becomes part of a deeper narrative tied to identity and belonging.

This approach reflects a broader effort to bridge past and present, transforming historical knowledge into tangible design elements.

It also seeks to reintroduce female figures who have been marginalized or overlooked in traditional historical narratives.

The project is grounded in a strong intellectual and cultural foundation. It originated from academic research exploring the history of female leadership in the region, which later evolved into a book before taking shape as a fashion label, marking a transition from theory to applied creative practice.

The vision aligns closely with the cultural landscape of Sharjah, known for its commitment to preserving heritage while embracing modernity.

This is reflected in the brand’s emphasis on responsible luxury, craftsmanship, sustainability, and respect for source material.

Beyond fashion, Inanna Reborn connects to broader cultural and spiritual initiatives aimed at fostering awareness and a return to meaning through art, knowledge, and collective experience.

In this context, the label proposes a redefined notion of luxury, one that transcends consumption and appearance, instead offering a deeply personal and cultural experience.

It reflects a growing movement toward rediscovering identity, particularly amid renewed interest in heritage and its role in shaping the present.
