Rabat – Moroccan artist Yvzid steps into a new creative era with the release of “Merra Fl3am,” a nostalgic yet luminous single that blends organic instrumentation, coastal imagery, and deeply personal storytelling.

Set in “Maria,” a fictional seaside city imagined by Yvzid, the song transforms the rhythm of the tides into a metaphor for emotional cycles, departures, and inevitable returns.

Built around Spanish classical guitar, Latin and flamenco-inspired rhythms, and fully organic sounds, “Merra Fl3am” carries a warm, sunlit energy while remaining emotionally intimate at its core.

Sung in Darija, the lyrics unfold with simple yet poetic sincerity, touching on the desire to leave in search of something greater, whether a feeling, a dream, or a state of mind, while staying emotionally tied to the places and people left behind.

Its catchy refrain evokes the promise of returning “once a year,” turning nostalgia into something almost cinematic.

“Merra fl3am is a very important song to me because it marks the beginning of a new chapter, a new phase in my artistic universe, both musically and personally,” Yvzid shared in a press statement.

“It also reflects an evolution from my previous artistic direction, while still carrying a sense of nostalgia that has always been part of my music. I wanted to return to something more instinctive, more alive, with organic instruments and a more direct emotion.”

Known for blending rap, R&B, and Moroccan influences into a sound that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted, Yazid continues to shape a musical universe where youth culture meets tradition.

With “Merra Fl3am,” the artist embraces a brighter and more organic direction, while preserving the cinematic depth that defines his work.
