Fez — Rabat’s “Tricinty Fest 4” is set to return on June 6 at Cinéma Renaissance, bringing a heavier international lineup and an expanded program for Morocco’s alternative music scene.

Organized by Fondation Hiba, the fourth edition will feature five national and international acts: Morocco’s “Manic Attack,” Spain’s “Toundra,” France’s “Hypno5e,” Germany’s “The Ocean,” and the United Kingdom’s “False Reality.”

Doors are scheduled to open at 5 p.m., while the Wanaut listing places the main event at 6 p.m.

A heavier fourth edition

The official Wanaut listing describes the 2026 edition as a new step for a festival that has grown quickly since its launch in 2023. The platform says “Tricinty Fest” has hosted more than 18 bands from Morocco, Spain, France, and the UK, and has become a reference point for alternative music and local bands.

This year’s lineup leans strongly into post-metal, hardcore, thrash, and cinematic heavy music. “The Ocean” is widely associated with atmospheric post-metal, while Madrid-based “Toundra” is known as an instrumental rock band formed in 2007.

“Hypno5e” describes its sound as “cinematic metal,” combining contemporary metal with Latin folk and soundtrack-like textures. “False Reality,” meanwhile, brings a London hardcore edge, with a thrash-infused crossover sound.

Morocco’s “Manic Attack” gives the lineup a local anchor. The Temara-based band identifies itself as a Moroccan thrash metal group, reinforcing the festival’s role as a stage for emerging Moroccan heavy acts.

Workshops and a new local stage

Beyond the main concerts, Fondation Hiba is adding several parallel activities for fans and music professionals.

The program includes a mixing workshop with Tom MacLean on May 30 at “Studio Hiba,” a drum masterclass with Jordi Farre on June 6 at Café La Scène, and a voice and screaming masterclass led by the vocalist of “The Ocean” at “HIBA_Lab.”

For the first time, the festival will also host “First Stage” on June 5 at Café La Scène, giving space to new local rock and metal talent. The stage will feature “Lixivia,” “Anora,” and “Darih.”

Tickets are available online through Wanaut, at the Cinéma Renaissance box office, and at Cash Plus sales points.

A platform for Morocco’s alternative scene

“Tricinty Fest” began from a broader project tied to Morocco’s rock and metal underground. In its early form, the initiative grew from a radio-blog concept and compilation releases supporting bands with recorded singles, EPs, or LPs.

The festival now presents itself as more than a concert night. Its previous edition described “Tricinty Fest” as a space for alternative and independent music in Morocco, mixing rock, metal, and experimental sounds while encouraging exchange between local and international musicians.

For Morocco’s cultural scene, the festival’s return signals more than another heavy lineup. It reflects the growing visibility of underground music in Rabat and the slow expansion of spaces where young Moroccan artists can perform, connect, and build audiences outside mainstream formats.
