Rabat – Marrakech’s iconic hotel La Mamounia was featured in Robb Report’s “The 50 Greatest Luxury Hotels on Earth” list.

Selected by Robb Report’s Travel Masters, who highlighted some of the world’s finest luxury travel experiences, the legendary Moroccan property was recognized in the list of “The Greatest Luxury Hotels in Africa.”

For a hotel of La Mamounia’s standing, such recognitions like this have become almost routine.

Since opening its doors in 1923, the Moroccan palace has become synonymous with Moroccan luxury, welcoming celebrities, artists, and world leaders while preserving the country’s rich architectural heritage and hospitality traditions.

Robb Report described the Moroccan hotel as “iconic, legendary, and still staying current,” highlighting the hotel’s ability to preserve its heritage while remaining relevant to modern luxury travelers.

The latest accolade adds to an already impressive list of achievements.

Earlier this year, it secured Condé Nast Traveler’s rare “Triple Crown” before once again appearing among the winners of Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards 2026, further reinforcing its status as one of the world’s leading luxury hotels.

La Mamounia was not Morocco’s only representative on the list. Olinto Atlas Mountain Retreat & Spa also received recognition, reflecting Morocco’s growing reputation as a destination for world-class luxury hospitality.

While Robb Report ranked only the top 10 hotels overall, the remaining properties were grouped by region.

The highest-ranked entries, spanning destinations such as Malta, Panama, Italy, and the UK were those most frequently selected by the publication’s panel of travel experts.

For La Mamounia, the latest recognition is another milestone in a legacy that continues to place Moroccan hospitality among the finest in the world.
