Casablanca – John Legend and Chrissy Teigen marked their 13th wedding anniversary in Morocco, sharing a glimpse of their celebration in the Red City.
In a social media post marking the occasion, Teigen opened up about how their relationship has evolved over the years.
“As the years add up, I think we are really discovering what being a couple really is, outside of raising children together,” she wrote.
Teigen reflected on the less visible side of a long-term relationship, from raising a family to supporting each other through difficult moments.
She also looked ahead to the years to come, writing that she would choose him and their family “over and over again.”
The couple’s anniversary getaway unfolded with intimate moments, including a candlelit dinner surrounded by rose petals.
Teigen also shared snapshots from their time in Marrakech, capturing the city’s streets and the couple dressed up for their celebration.
Legend and Teigen first married in a New York City courthouse in September 2013 before holding a larger wedding ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, four days later. They now share four children, Luna, Miles, Esti, and Wren.
Back in the Red City
But this is far from their first connection with the kingdom.
The couple’s return to Marrakech also adds another chapter to their history with the city, as they previously visited Morocco in 2017 with their daughter Luna, documenting parts of their family trip online.
Legend also celebrated his 37th birthday in Marrakech in 2015.
This time, however, the city offered a more intimate setting for a milestone that Teigen framed less around the years behind them and more around the partnership they continue to build.
After 13 years of marriage and four children, her message centered on staying present for each other through both the ordinary and difficult parts of life.
For the couple, Marrakech became the setting for another chapter in a relationship they are still learning to navigate, together.
