17th Edition Agdal-Riyad Spring Festival

 

The 17th edition of the Agdal-Riyad Spring Festival kicked off on Friday in Rabat, organized by the Agdal-Riyad District Council under the theme “Rabat, Land of Lights and Cultural Fusion.” 

 

Running until July 30, this vibrant festival features a rich array of activities, including intellectual seminars, artistic performances, poetry readings, art exhibitions, sports competitions, targeted entertainment, and workshops for children and youth. There are also social and humanitarian initiatives on the agenda.

 

The festival will unfold across various venues in the Agdal-Riyad district, including the Jardin d’Essais, Jardin Andalou, Jardin du Belvédère, as well as the Agdal Cultural Center and IRCAM.

 

1st Edition Aïta Marsaouia Festival

 

Settat is buzzing with excitement as it welcomes the inaugural Aïta Marsaouia Festival, featuring a star-studded lineup of popular artists. 

 

Running until July 27, the festival celebrates the rich tradition of Aïta music with a diverse program.

 

This Friday’s highlights include a debate titled “Aïta: Between Tradition and Innovation,” a screening of Hamid Zoughi’s 2008 film Kharboucha, and a closing concert. 

 

The festival, which began on July 12, is organized by the Casablanca-Settat region and the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, in partnership with the Casablanca commune.

 

12th Edition “Ete des Oudayas” Festival

 

Rabat will shine with the 12th edition of the International Arts and Culture Festival, “Ete des Oudayas,” taking place from July 27 to 30.

 

The festival kicks off with Moroccan artist Bachir Abdou and continues with performances by Jbara, Nasr Megri, and Rhany Kabbadj, who will receive the “Hassan Megri” award. 

 

On the third day, rapper Lmoutchou will be honored with the Best Rapper award, followed by the group Ithran, which will be presented with the Fibula d’Or. 

 

The festival will culminate with a performance by the legendary Nass El Ghiwane, who will receive the Al Farabi Prize.

 

The event will conclude on July 30 with a spectacular show by the group “Hermanos,” featuring the Alaoui and Tuna brothers, followed by performances from maestro Majid Bekkas and Sami Ray.
