Known for his mystery and precision, Najm unveils a personal and tightly produced EP titled U.
Fez – On July 18, Moroccan rapper Najm returned with a new project titled “U,” a short, five-track EP that continues to build on his signature sound and visual identity.
Known for keeping a low profile and never revealing his face, Najm delivers a well-produced, emotionally personal body of work, once again proving his ability to stay original and consistent in an ever-changing music scene.
The new EP brings together three major names: Manal, Tchubi, and Zamdane. Each artist brings their own energy to the project, contributing to what feels like a collective reflection on love, fear, and emotional distance.
The sound is stripped down, focused, and intentional. Nothing feels random or rushed. The production is minimal and clean, leaving space for the lyrics to carry the emotional weight.
The collaboration with Manal on “Riri&Rocky” is one that fans have been expecting for a while. Since 2024, Manal has openly supported Najm’s music, especially his track “Rata,” which she shared several times during her pregnancy.
Even after giving birth, she continued to mention how much the song meant to her, which made this new feature feel like a natural progression.
On “Afraid of Lovin’U,” Tchubi joins Najm for one of the most emotional songs on the EP. His voice blends perfectly with the track’s theme, navigating the fear and confusion that often come with real emotional attachment.
Meanwhile, Zamdane appears on “Obsessed,” bringing in the reflective and melancholic style he’s known for. A few weeks before the release, Najm appeared as Zamdane’s guest on Skyrock in Paris to perform the single “’Bout U,” which quietly introduced the new project without any formal announcement.

The rollout of “U” followed Najm’s usual approach: low-key, thoughtful, and visually consistent. This time, instead of hiding behind a mask, Najm covered his face with his hand, a simple gesture that soon appeared on the Instagram accounts of Manal, Tchubi, and Zamdane, each posting a similar photo without any caption.
It was only later that fans understood these posts were connected to Najm’s upcoming release.
Najm is involved in every aspect of his creative process. He oversees the music, the visuals, and the full artistic direction behind his projects.
From the cover art to the tone of the campaign, everything follows a clear line. With “U,” he continues to define his aesthetic: precise, controlled, and always emotionally grounded.
Earlier this year, Najm was selected by Spotify for its Radar program, which supports rising talents around the world.
He also performed his first sold-out show at the Renaissance cinema in Rabat, gaining more attention without relying on overexposure or media buzz.
Artists like Stormy and Ouenza have already shown their support, but Najm remains focused on his own path: quiet, steady, and fully committed to quality over noise.
“U” may be a small project in size, but it confirms Najm’s place in the current Moroccan music scene: an artist who prefers to speak through his work rather than his presence, and who values depth, detail, and direction.
