Rabat- In a strategic move aimed at enhancing high-end and luxury travel experiences, Morocco’s Atlas Voyages has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the Spanish Tourism Office.
This collaboration, unveiled during a ceremony at Atlas Voyages’ Casablanca headquarters on April 25, signals a significant step forward in the Moroccan company’s promotion of Spain as a tourism destination for Moroccan travelers.
This partnership is a comprehensive co-branding campaign designed to capture the attention of Moroccan travelers and inspire their exploration of Spain, with a target of attracting over 2000 travelers to Spain during the upcoming summer season, the Moroccan website Le360 reported on Wednesday.
Atlas Voyages plans to curate 20 bespoke offers tailored to cater to various travel preferences, including family vacations, romantic escapades, and group getaways.
Maria José Gomez, the chief of Spain’s Tourism Office, expressed the Spanish agency’s vision to redefine Moroccans’ tourism experience in Spain by introducing them to lesser-known yet equally enchanting regions, said the Le360 report.
Highlighting the cultural ties and shared travel interests between Morocco and Spain, Gomez emphasized the importance of offering a diverse range of travel experiences that resonate with Moroccan travelers’ preferences.
This partnership comes as Morocco-Spain relations have significantly improved over the past few months.
The two countries’ tourism cooperation has followed the trajectory of their evolving and deepening relations in other areas, Gomez argued, recalling the Moroccan and Spanish tourism ministries’ signing of an MoU to advance cooperation.
In particular, the memorandum pledged to foster innovation in tourism management practices, facilitate data sharing, and promote sustainability within the tourism sector.
The newly signed agreement between Atlas Voyages and the Spanish Tourism Office represents a significant milestone in the evolution of Moroccan tourism, offering travelers unprecedented access to Spain’s diverse cultural and geographical treasures.
For both parties, this collaboration sets a promising precedent for future endeavors aimed at enriching the travel experiences of Moroccan and Spanish visitors in opposite directions.
In the wake of the news of Morocco joining forces with Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup, the agreement demonstrates the shared determination in Rabat and Madrid to develop the hospitality industry and make the World Cup a memorable experience for visitors.
