Lugano – A new original track by Lady Gaga and Doechii is set to feature in the upcoming film “The Devil Wears Prada 2”, marking a major musical moment in the sequel’s rollout.

Titled “Runway,” the song was unveiled in the film’s latest trailer, offering audiences a first listen ahead of the movie’s release on May 1.

The track created specifically for the film, was named after the fictional fashion magazine central to the story, “Runway.”

It blends Doechii’s energetic rap verses with Gaga’s signature house-pop chorus, creating a sound that reflects the film’s high-fashion, fast-paced world.

Known for her theatrical style and deep ties to the fashion industry, Lady Gaga brings a cinematic and dramatic tone to the track, while Doechii adds a contemporary, genre-blending edge.

The release of “Runway” in the trailer has generated strong anticipation among fans, signaling a more contemporary and music-driven direction for the sequel.

The song’s themes, ambition, success, and identity, align closely with the narrative of “The Devil Wears Prada”, reinforcing its exploration of the pressures and allure of the fashion industry.

In the trailer, snippets of “Runway” accompany scenes of returning characters and new tensions within the fashion media landscape, reinforcing the film’s modern direction.

Lady Gaga’s involvement extends beyond music, as she is also set to appear in the film, further blending celebrity, music, and storytelling into a single cultural moment.

The sequel builds on the success of the original “The Devil Wears Prada”, released in 2006.

Directed by David Frankel and starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, the film became a defining portrayal of the fashion industry and modern workplace culture.

It went on to gross more than $326 million worldwide, cementing its status as both a commercial success and a lasting cultural touchstone.

Its impact extended beyond the box office, shaping perceptions of the fashion world and earning Meryl Streep an Academy Award nomination for her role as the formidable Miranda Priestly.
