Lugano – Yesterday, legendary K-pop group BIGBANG made a major return to the global stage with their performance at Coachella, six years after they were originally scheduled to appear at the festival before COVID-19 forced its cancellation.

Backed by a live band and dancers, group members Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Daesung, delivered some of their most iconic hits, opening with crowd-pleaser “Bang Bang Bang.”

The performance continued with fan favorites including “Fantastic Baby,” “Loser,” and “A Fool Of Tears.”

The group concluded the set with “Still Life,” released in 2022, the final track to feature former member T.O.P before his departure, with his verse kept inside for the Coachella performance.

BIGBANG’s appearance at the event comes as the group prepares for a major milestone year, with plans to embark on a global tour this year to mark its 20th anniversary.

According to Forbes, during the performance, Taeyang reflected on the significance of the moment, telling the crowd, “2026 is our 20th year as BIGBANG. The years have flown by so fast. We already spent half our lives together, and I’m so grateful to share our music and our passion with all of you.”

Formed in 2006, BIGBANG originally debuted as a five-member group, including former member Seungri, who left in 2019, and quickly rose to prominence with a distinctive blend of hip-hop, pop, and R&B.

Known for their creative involvement in songwriting and production, the group played a key role in expanding the global reach of K-pop.

Their large-scale tours and chart-topping releases helped establish them as one of the genre’s most influential acts, earning them the nickname “Kings of K-pop.”

As K-pop continues to expand worldwide, BIGBANG’s return to a major festival stage and its planned global tour underscore the group’s enduring influence and signal a new chapter in its two-decade career.
