Billionaire television star and media executive Oprah Winfrey made the most of her time during a two-day visit to Morocco’s famous red city Marrakech.
Oprah shared a moment of her trip with her over 23 million followers on Instagram.
In a video that has gone viral, the talk show host appeared to be dancing to Moroccan music with a folklore band in a traditional tent where she also experienced the country’s food.
“I spent two beautiful days in Marrakech, Morocco, which wasn’t enough time to experience so much magnificent culture,” she said.
She went on to add that her trip was an opportunity to explore Souk Semmarine in the city, where she indulged in a “thrilling delicious meal underneath a Moroccan tent.”
The famous media personality was also fascinated by the colorful goods in Marrakech’s souks, including shops selling olives.
The art of rug making also caught Oprah’s attention, as she expressed awe at “how they’re made with the consortium of 360 women.”
Oprah concluded her caption by thanking Morocco for “a soul-filling time.”
Morocco has been an attraction for many tourists, including celebrities who choose Marrakech or other iconic Moroccan cities like Fez and Rabat as holiday destinations.
One of the latest figures who also experienced the red city was basketball legend Michael Jordan, who visited the city in May.
The visits are also a testament to Morocco’s growing tourism sector. At the end of May, Morocco’s tourism revenues reached over $4 billion over 1 million tourist arrivals to the country during that month alone.
