Rabat – Moroccan singer Douaa Lahyaoui released a new single titled “Me Gusta” on Friday, adding another track to her growing repertoire.
Produced by Lewo & DNL, the song features French artist Scridge and DJ Erise, bringing together different musical backgrounds in a cross-cultural collaboration that blends Moroccan and French influences within a contemporary pop sound.
Lahyaoui first gained widespread attention through her participation in The Voice in 2020, where she stood out and earned recognition from both the jury and the audience.
Since then, she has continued to build her presence in the music scene with songs such as “Badadi,” “Ghdaydi,” and “Dini M3ak.”
In 2022, she also released “Allez Les Lionesses,” a track celebrating the Moroccan women’s national football team following their qualification for the 2023 World Cup.
Her previous release, “Belbala,” came out nearly a year ago and has already surpassed 25 million views on YouTube
Beyond music, Lahyaoui has explored other areas of entertainment, appearing in television productions such as “Khou Khwatatou” and “Jib Darkom,” showcasing her presence beyond singing.
Although she initially pursued studies in aviation, Lahyaoui eventually shifted her focus toward music, choosing to follow a path that aligned with her artistic abilities.
Following its release, “Me Gusta” has started circulating online, with early reactions highlighting its upbeat rhythm and accessible, feel-good energy.
With the new track, Lahyaoui continues to expand her musical journey, adding a new release that reflects her evolving style and collaborations.
