Casablanca – Studio des Arts Vivants in Casablanca will host a musical evening on July 10 honoring the late Moroccan icon Naima Samih, with singer Chaimaa Abdelaziz set to revisit some of the legendary artist’s most beloved songs.

Organized by Atlal Events, the concert carries the title “Echoes of Naima – An Eternal Voice that Never Fades!” and is designed as a tribute to one of the most enduring voices in Moroccan music.

Over the decades, Naima Samih became a defining figure in Moroccan musical heritage, building a repertoire that continues to live across generations.

Songs such as “Jrit Ou Jarit,” “Yak A Jarhi,” “Cheft El Khatem,” “Aala Ghafla,” and “Jari Ya Jari” remain deeply rooted in collective memory, still widely listened to and emotionally tied to different moments of Moroccan life.

Chaimaa Abdelaziz, meanwhile, has gradually built her own place in the contemporary music scene through a voice often associated with emotional delivery and reinterpretations of classic Moroccan songs.

Her participation in The Voice in 2018 introduced her to wider audiences, as she quickly stood out among viewers and jury members alike.

Since then, she has continued to release original songs and revisit classics in her own style, a direction that helped her maintain a strong connection with audiences who appreciate both contemporary and nostalgic sounds.

With Abdelaziz’s voice meeting the timeless repertoire of Naima Samih, the upcoming evening is expected to revive a part of Morocco’s musical memory, bringing emotion, nostalgia, and tribute together on one stage.
