Zagora – Moroccan singer Douzi is continuing the rollout of his Rai-inspired album with a new release titled “Al Qessa Kemlat.”

But the track does not arrive as a standalone release. Instead, it picks up directly from the emotional thread left behind in his previous song, “Tal 3dabi.”

So, to understand the weight of this new chapter, it’s impossible not to revisit the one before it.

Back to ‘Tal 3dabi’

“Tal 3dabi” marked a particularly unusual moment in Douzi’s career. For the first time, the Moroccan artist created a duet with his younger self, revisiting the child voice many listeners first grew up hearing before watching him evolve into one of the recognizable names in Moroccan pop and Rai music today.

Using AI technology to recreate that younger version of himself, Douzi turned the song into something more intimate than a standard release.

Written and composed by the artist himself, the track unfolded through heartbreak, longing, and emotional vulnerability, following someone struggling to accept separation from the person he still loves.

The emotions moved between agony, attachment, and the inability to imagine life after the relationship had already fallen apart.

Yet the story did not truly end there.

‘Al Qessa Kemlat’

While it initially felt like a complete emotional chapter, the story now appears to have only been the beginning. In “AL Qessa Kemlat,” Douzi returns alone, this time without the presence of his younger self.

The emotional shift becomes even heavier as the story reveals that the woman has already moved on with someone else, leaving him alone with memories that continue to echo long after the relationship itself faded.

Through these two connected songs, Douzi built more than separate releases. He created a continuous emotional storyline shaped by heartbreak, nostalgia, and the classic spirit of Rai music that many listeners associate with earlier musical eras.

Part of the audience connects to the songs through their emotional themes, while others are drawn to the familiar Rai atmosphere that brings back the sound many grew up listening to for years.

Both tracks follow “Laylat al Wadaa,” the first release from the album. While more songs are likely to follow as the project unfolds, Douzi has not yet revealed details about the next chapter.
