Rabat – Taghamusic Festival returns to Taghazout for a new edition from August 14-16, bringing together Moroccan and international artist for three evenings of music at Tawenza Square.
From Rai and Amazigh music to orchestral singalongs, R&B, and Moroccan rap, this year’s lineup promises three evenings where different sounds and generations meet by the Atlantic coast.
Cheb Khaled and Karima Gouit open the festival
The festival opens on August 14 with Algerian Rai legend Cheb Khaled alongside Moroccan singer Karima Gouit, creating a musical dialogue between two of North Africa’s most recognizable voices.
As one of the defining figures of Rai music, Khaled has spent decades taking the genre far beyond Algeria, building a legacy that continues to resonate across the Arab world and Europe.
His return to a Moroccan stage is expected to strike a familiar chord with audiences who have long embraced both Rai music and his greatest hits.
Joining him is Karima Gouit, whose repertoire blends Moroccan and Amazigh influences with contemporary arrangements, bringing a distinctly Moroccan touch to the festival’s opening night.
Both artists also appeared at this year’s Mawazine Festival, where Gouit performed on the Nahda Stage on June 25, while Khaled headlined Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium the following evening.
Boudchart brings his signature musical experience
The festival shifts gears on August 15 as Boudchart takes over the stage with the orchestral experience that has made him one of Morocco’s most talked-about conductors.
Unlike a traditional concert, Boudchart’s performances transform the audience into an essential part of the show. Rather than simply watching, festivalgoers become the choir itself, singing together while he conducts the orchestra and shapes the performance in real time.
It is this interaction between orchestra and audience that has become his signature, turning every concert into a collective musical experience rather than a one-sided performance.
Boudchart also took part in Mawazine Festival 2026, where he closed the Nahda Stage on June 26, drawing thousands of voices into one unforgettable singalong.
RnBoi, Stormy headline the final night
The final evening introduces a completely different atmosphere as RnBoi and Stormy close the festival with a program rooted in rap and contemporary urban music.
French artist RnBoi brings together R&B melodies and rap influences, delivering the energetic, melodic sound that has made him one of France’s rising urban artists.
Alongside him, Stormy represents one of Morocco’s defining rap voices. Having established himself as a recurring figure on the country’s music scene, he continues to shape Moroccan hip-hop through his distinctive style and lyrical identity.
Together, the pair create a bridge between Moroccan and international rap, giving Taghamusic Festival a finale that reflects the growing dialogue between local talent and global urban music.
Three days, diverse sounds
Across three evenings, Taghamusic Festival 2026 offers more than a succession of concerts.
It brings together Rai, Amazigh music, orchestral performances, R&B, and rap into one program, reflecting both Morocco’s musical diversity and its openness to sounds from beyond its borders
As the summer festival season continues, Taghamusic once again positions Taghazout as a destination where cultures, genres, and audiences come together through music.
