Rabat – Based on Instagram data, experts produced a list of the 30 best cycling routes in the World, among which the Moroccan High Atlas Mountains occupy the 27th place.

The study of “Explore Worldwide” analyzed Instagram data and route distances to come up with the places that have the most pictures shared per kilometer.

The researchers chose to study 100 routes, and relied on a cross-referencing method. For each route, they used the Instagram hashtag data to see how many photos were shared there.

To be more accurate, the experts cross-referenced the number of hashtags with the length of the route. The comparison between the images taken and the route distances allowed them to rank the best cycle routes.

This research concerns the most beautiful cycle routes from all over the world, and the American “Blue Ridge Parkway,” came out on top with a total of 832 photos per kilometer. According to this study, Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains have a ratio of 24 Instagram photos per kilometer.

The top 10 of the cycling routes on the list are located in the United States, Eastern Albania, Japan, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia, Chile, and Canada.
