Rabat – Davido is gearing up for a major summer release as the Nigerian afrobeats star prepares to drop his sixth studio album, “Oriadé,” on July 31, as reported by Billboard Arabia.

The project arrives as a milestone celebration of his 15-year journey in music, marking a new chapter in one of Africa’s most influential global careers.

The album’s title draws from the Yoruba words ori (destiny) and adé (crown), reflecting themes of purpose, growth and achievement.

According to Davido, the record is both a personal reflection and a statement on his role in pushing African music further onto the global stage.

Leading the rollout is the single “I Know Who I Be,” released on June 26, serving as the first official taste of the album.

“Oriadé” follows his 2025 album 5ive, which continued his strong chart momentum and expanded his international reach.

That previous record featured With You, a collaboration with Omah Lay that earned a Grammy nomination, alongside appearances from artists including Victoria Monét, YG Marley, Shenseea, Chris Brown and Becky G.

The album caps off an already eventful year for Davido, who made his debut at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April with a 45-minute set that included a surprise appearance by Adekunle Gold.

He later joined Major Lazer and Nelly Furtado on “No Place Like Home,” part of the official soundtrack for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
