Rabat – Traveling magazine Conde Nast Traveler (CNT) has featured Morocco’s La Mamounia hotel among its 2022 Gold List, highlighting editors’ favorite hotels across the world.
The list ranks Morocco’s La Mamounia located in the red city of Marrakech 16 out of 32 best hotels across the world.
The magazine explained that the list was compiled by its editors working in Conde Nast’s seven editions in the US, Spain, UK, Italy, India, the Middle East and China.
“CNT’s long-running Gold List is one of the most-awaited—and more personal—annual roundups we publish. This year marks a truly impactful moment for the brand, with editors around the world—from New York to Dubai to Beijing—joining together to reveal their most beloved hotels, places and experiences,” said Divia Thani, Global Editorial Director of Condé Nast Traveller.
The magazine’s Global Editorial Director emphasized that the selections mirror the sensibility and tastes of both its editors and audiences across the world.
La Mamounia hotel, the only Moroccan hotel that secured a place in the 2022 Conde Nast Gold List, is among the top coveted hotels among high-profile tourists and public figures who visit Morocco.
The hotel received multiple awards for its outstanding luxurious architecture and services that attract not only international travelers but also locals.
In October, CNT featured La Mamounia among one of the hotels that were featured in 2021 Readers’ Choice Awards.
“In fact, if you don’t end up overnighting in one of this former palace’s tiled guest rooms, it’s almost as though you were never in Marrakech at all,” the magazine wrote about the hotel.
The magazine also described its rooms as “incredible.”
In addition to 2021, La Mamounia also secured a place in CNT’s Readers’ Choice Awards list in 2017,2018,2019, and 2020.
La Mamouniaa also featured in CNT’s Gold List in its 2018,2019, and the 2020 versions.
