Rabat – Morocco Foodex will organize a vast communication campaign to promote various flavors of Moroccan products in the prestigious district of Hudson Yards Public Square & Gardens in New York from September 25 to 29.

The pop-up showroom at Hudson Yards opens to the public from 1p.m. to 6p.m. (GMT -4) on Saturday, September 25, and from 11a.m. to 6p.m. the following days. New Yorkers can expect to discover a wide range of Moroccan products, namely, fruits and vegetables, citrus, olive, local products, and fisheries.

This year’s event will be hosted under the theme “Morocco, Kingdom of Taste” and will primarily highlight Moroccan agricultural and seafood products demonstrating the country’s reliability, credibility, and authenticity.

Morocco exports a diversity of products distinguished by traceability and flavor diversity, which is why Morocco Foodex will bring appetizing dishes to the event, in collaboration with Los Angeles-based Moroccan Chef Lalla Mina, who will host several daily cooking workshops for foodies to enjoy free samples.

The organizing committee stated in a press release, “at a time when consumer trends are oriented towards responsible, healthy and eco-conscious food, Morocco can be proud to offer a range of products that meet these criteria.”

The initiative aims to promote Morocco’s exportations in the American market to ensure their visibility worldwide, as well as to “consolidate the commercial relations between the two countries and to inform the final consumer of the diversity and the quality of the products.”

“The [US] market is full of business opportunities enhanced by a current geopolitical rapprochement between the two countries,” the source said.

The same source recalls Morocco’s agricultural policy implemented in recent years, saying that the continuous growth of Moroccan agriculture ensures the products have a “natural competitiveness” on the international market.

This competitiveness results from its freshness and gustatory qualities of products, an exceptional climatic condition, an affordable cost of living and labor compared to other countries, and a strategic location that attracts many foreign investments.

Hudson Yards attracted many as the cultural center of Manhattan’s New West Side. The new neighborhood buzzes with various activities and is known for its chic art galleries and its restaurants that encompass traditional, modern, and international cuisine.
