In the heart of Fez, an enigmatic exhibition blurs the lines between painting and photography, inviting viewers into a world of light, color, and mystery.

Fez – On Saturday evening in Fez, the “Éclats” exhibition opened its doors to the public, featuring works by artist Mohamed Mikou and photographer Hassan Hmimidi.

This unique collection brings together plastic art and photography in a creative showcase that explores themes of heritage, identity, and spirituality.

Running until February 16, the exhibition presents 32 pieces of varying sizes, where light and color merge to create vivid and meaningful compositions.

Visitors are invited to explore works that encompass Moroccan symbols, the nation’s rich heritage, themes of citizenship, and the mysticism of Sufism.

The experience offers a rare blend of two artistic styles. Mikou’s vibrant paintings reflect his focus on Moroccan identity and spirituality, while Hmimidi’s photographs transform motion into stunning visual art, bridging the gap between reality and imagination.

Mikou’s art invites viewers on a spiritual journey, using bold colors and symbolic imagery to convey messages rooted in Moroccan culture.

His work emphasizes the enduring beauty of authentic traditions and the depth of Sufi teachings.

On the other hand, Hmimidi brings photography to life with a dynamic approach. Known for his expertise in capturing movement, he turns ordinary photographs into artistic masterpieces.

His images pay homage to Moroccan heritage, particularly capturing Sufi fantasy themes and  captivating dance performances, blending precision with creativity.

This collaboration offers an engaging experience for art lovers. It allows them to explore two distinct yet complementary artistic visions, both deeply connected to Moroccan culture.

Visitors can appreciate the harmony between painting and photography while discovering new ways to interpret familiar themes.

The exhibition has already drawn a crowd of art enthusiasts. Attendees explore the unique styles of both artists and find inspiration in the detailed compositions.

Organized in the heart of Fez, the exhibition aims to promote contemporary Moroccan creativity and invite dialogue around its cultural significance.

Through their work, Mikou and Hmimidi invite audiences to connect with their shared heritage while exploring new creative horizons.

Visitors have until mid-February to experience this vibrant display of color, light, and cultural pride.
