Marrakech – Kendji Girac, the French champ from “The Voice,” is reported to be critically injured after taking a serious gunshot to the chest, according to BBC.
Police were called at about 05:30 local time (04:30 GMT) to a traveler site in Biscarrosse, around 50km (31 miles) from Bordeaux.
However, fans were relieved to discover that, although critically injured, authorities confirmed that Girac’s life is now out of danger.
Following the shooting incident, Girac was swiftly transported to a hospital in Bordeaux for urgent medical attention.
Amidst the unfolding investigation, a source close to the case revealed to the AFP press agency that law enforcement officials are keeping all possibilities open, highlighting the complexity and seriousness of the situation.
Kendji Girac, whose real name is Kendji Maille and aged 27, in Catalan, has roots from the “Catalan gypsy community,” BBC highlighted.
Girac’s journey to stardom began in 2013 when he gained widespread recognition for his cover of a song by Congolese-French rapper Gims, catapulting him into the limelight.

Since then, Girac has continued to captivate audiences with his unique blend of talent and charisma, releasing an impressive five studio albums to date.
