Rabat – Featuring Arabic-inspired music and Bollywood giant Rakesh Bedi, Nora Fatehi brings different cultures together on T-series’ “Ya Baba,” released on June 21 to mark World Music Day.

“Ya Baba” combines Arabic-inspired sounds with a lively celebratory music video. The track is composed by Sanjoy, with lyrics written by Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy and Vayu.

The song is inspired by Tunisian folk song “Sidi Mansour” which originates from the city of Sfax. It is dedicated to the Tunisian Sufi saint “Mansour Ghulam” and has been revisited multiple times by many artists including “Aresh Muhseni” and most notably “Saber Rebaï”.

Once again, Nora Fatehi shows her versatile skills by taking on both vocal and performance duties bringing a unique flavor to the Arabic-influenced track.

Shilpa Rao joins Nora and elevates the song through her rich vocal texture. Known for her soulful and expressive vocals, she brings depth and puts all the listeners in a festive mood. Together, the two artists celebrate diversity on World Music Day.

Directed by Adil Shaikh, the music video turns ‘Ya Baba’ into an extravagant celebration. Featuring colorful decor inspired by both Arab and South Eastern cultures, the video truly captures the feeling of a grand musical gathering.

Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi’s special appearance in the music video brought joy and charm to all Bollywood lovers watching.

He is known for his memorable performances and comedic timing so he naturally blends into the festive world of the song.

Releasing the song on World Music Day is a testimony to the ability of music to unite people beyond cultures and languages. With its festive energy, the song aims to become an anthem of celebration.
